hereinafter separately and jointly referred to as “Aramco Europe” or “we” or “us”. We are (indirectly and directly) wholly owned subsidiaries of Saudi Arabian Oil Company, hereinafter referred to as “Saudi Aramco” or “Aramco” located in Saudi Arabia, who is the owner of the domain aramco.com, making europe.aramco.com one of its sub-domains.

In respect of your Personal Data, Aramco Overseas Company UK Ltd. or Aramco Europe B.V. (each as applicable) is the Controller for the Processing in connection with www.europe.aramco.com.

2. What Personal Data do we collect about you?

When you are visiting our website, we may Process the following types of Personal Data:

• Service providers - We may disclose your Personal Data to companies that provide services for or on behalf of us, including Saudi Aramco who provides us services regarding website content management system and security functions. These entities are limited in their ability to use your Personal Data for purposes other than providing services for us. We have appropriate contractual arrangements in place with these providers to keep your Personal Data confidential.
• Other parties when required by law or as necessary to protect our services. There may be instances when we disclose your Personal Data to other parties:

• Other parties with your consent or at your direction. In addition to the disclosures described in this Privacy Notice, we may share Personal Data about you with third parties when you consent to or request such sharing.
• Accountants, auditors, consultants, lawyers and other outside professional advisors to Aramco Europe, subject to binding contractual obligations of confidentiality.

• Any relevant third-party provider, where our website uses third party plugins or content. If you choose to interact with any such plugins or content, your Personal Data may be shared with the relevant third-party provider. We recommend that you review that third party’s privacy policy before interacting with its plugins or content. 5. International Transfers

Some of the entities with whom we share your Personal Data may be located outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the UK (as applicable). This includes countries where the data protection laws might not be as extensive as those in your country. Therefore, we have implemented appropriate contractual protections (and, where necessary, supplementary measures) to ensure that your Personal Data is afforded a level of protection which is essentially equivalent to the level of protection guaranteed within the EEA or the UK (as applicable), such as entering into Standard Contractual Clauses as approved by the European Commission with recipients of your data or the UK equivalent (i.e., the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / UK addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses).

8. Data Retention

We ensure that we retain your Personal Data not longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected (such as to provide you with an answer to your queries or requests) unless a longer period is necessary to comply with legal obligations or to defend a legal claim. The criteria for determining the duration for which we will retain your Personal Data are as follows: 

we will retain Personal Data in a form that permits identification only for as long as:

• we maintain an ongoing relationship with you (e.g., where you are a visitor to this website); or
• your Personal Data are necessary in connection with the lawful purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, for which we have a valid legal basis (e.g., where we have a legal obligation to retain your Personal Data),

plusthe duration of:

• any applicable limitation period under applicable law (i.e., any period during which any person could bring a legal claim against us in connection with your Personal Data, or to which your Personal Data are relevant); and

• in addition, if any relevant legal claims are brought, we continue to Process Personal Data for such additional periods as are necessary in connection with that claim.

During the periods noted in paragraphs (2)(a) and (2)(b) above, we will restrict our Processing of your Personal Data to storage of, and maintaining the security of, those data, except to the extent that those data need to be reviewed in connection with any legal claim, or any obligation under applicable law.

Once the periods in paragraphs (1), (2) and (3) above, each to the extent applicable, have concluded, we will either:

• permanently delete or destroy the relevant Personal Data; or
