Aramco’s Technology Office in Aberdeen focuses on developing safe, reliable, and cost-effective Upstream technologies for drilling and production applications.

The Company’s third global research center to open worldwide in 2013, Aberdeen is at the forefront of Aramco’s efforts to leverage global scientific expertise and increase collaboration among prestigious universities, institutions, technology driven companies, and other bodies associated with innovation.

Such endeavors support technology development, upscaling and commercialization. With wide experience in field applications and unique in-house tool design capability, the Aberdeen Technology Office develops tailored solutions to address Saudi Aramco field challenges. The Center sits among other specialists in Upstream technologies, looking at advances in areas such as drilling optimization and automation, workover methods, artificial lift, multiphase metering, and well completions.
