Aramco Europe team attends supplier gathering in Czech Republic

News|Prague, Czech Republic|
Aramco Europe met with suppliers in the Czech Republic, attracting about 60 companies from the region.

The September 16th Prague gathering was organized with support from the Ministry of Industry & Trade of the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic and Czech Trade.

Aramco Europe Vice President Procurement and Supply Chain Management Nawaf Alardhi, said: “Aramco is proud of its commitment to excellence in engineering, which is why we are especially excited to be here in a country that has such a proud industrial heritage and indeed is world renowned for innovation in precision engineering.

“As Aramco expands into new markets and sectors, new sourcing requirements are constantly emerging, which represent an incredible opportunity for existing and new partners who meet our high standards of quality and performance across global supply chains.”

In the second quarter alone, Aramco’s upstream capital expenditure topped $9.2 billion while downstream capital expenditure was more than $2.8 billion.

Such investment represents a major opportunity for both existing and new suppliers attending the event, who gained practical insights into the Aramco supplier registration and quality qualification process as well as the In-Kingdom Total Value Add program (iktva).

Delegates were also briefed on emerging opportunities in Saudi Arabia by government investment and development officials from Saudi Arabia.

The Czech Republic supply chain event was part of an ongoing initiative to connect with suppliers across Europe.
