Aramco hosts global energy leaders alongside International Energy Week in London

News|
Aramco hosted representatives from across the energy industry at a reception in London yesterday. Convening delegates from around the world, the reception focused on the role technology plays in delivering a stable and inclusive transition.

The reception coincided with International Energy Week 2025 and follows Aramco’s flagship event, iktva, in Dhahran last month, where 145 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding were signed.

Mazin Dabbagh, President & CEO of Aramco Europe, said: “Together with our extensive network of partners in Europe and around the world, we have a shared goal to develop solutions that will help deliver an orderly energy transition.

“This gathering provided an important backdrop to reinvigorate this shared goal. Europe has been a global leader in developing pioneering solutions, and we look forward to engaging with new and existing partners to bring these innovations to fruition.”

Aramco has made strategic investments in energy technologies, including hydrogen and synthetic fuels, as part of its efforts to advance lower-emission mobility solutions. This includes a recent 10% equity stake in Horse Powertrain, supporting the development of next-generation internal combustion engine and hybrid powertrains. These investments aim to improve fuel efficiency and explore alternative fuel solutions, including low-carbon hydrogen, while aligning with industry transition pathways and regulatory requirements.

Outside of partnerships and joint-ventures, Aramco Europe’s Fuel Research Center team works towards improving fuel and engine efficiency. The Center collaborates with several automotive partners, research groups and companies, to re-engineer gasoline and diesel engines for hydrogen combustion.

These initiatives reflect Aramco’s aim to continue to invest in cutting edge technologies while remaining a reliable supplier of energy to the world.
