Aramco Europe accelerates next generation innovation with STEM Pitstop Outreach

News|Silverstone, United Kingdom|

More than 12,500 students have already participated in the STEM Pitstop Outreach Program as the mobile interactive learning experience tours the UK.

The rollout of the program continues apace, with some 400 teachers also involved, many from schools located in disadvantaged areas of the country.

Supported by Aramco Europe and delivered by Silverstone Museum, the program uses the appeal of motorsport to inspire greater interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), while showcasing the diverse range of careers that power the world of Formula 1 and advanced engineering.

Rob Jaina, Director of Curation & Learning at Silverstone Museum, said: “We are proud to collaborate with Aramco Europe in delivering this hugely impactful program which demonstrates how the excitement of motorsport can be transformed into a powerful educational tool, helping young people connect their school subjects with real career pathways.”

The initiative forms part of Aramco Europe’s wider commitment to expanding access to STEM education and helping develop the next generation of innovators. Since the program’s preparation phase began in late 2025, the mobile workshop has toured secondary schools and community events across the UK.

At the heart of every visit is a hands-on learning experience that brings STEM subjects to life through real-world motorsport applications. Students explore engineering, teamwork, problem-solving and innovation through interactive activities linked to Formula 1 and racing technology. The response has been overwhelmingly positive from both students and teachers who have praised the interactive appeal of the program.

It builds on Aramco Europe’s growing portfolio of STEM-focused educational initiatives. Through collaboration with organizations including Silverstone Museum, STEM Learning UK, and the University of Manchester, Aramco Europe has consistently innovation and engineering. Aramco globally has also championed motorsport-inspired STEM engagement through supported programs designed to help young people discover opportunities in science, initiatives linked to Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, international karting activities and the globally recognized STEM Racing program (formerly F1 in Schools), which has introduced more than 1.8 million students worldwide to engineering and technology concepts.

The STEM Pitstop Outreach Program represents the latest chapter in Aramco Europe’s collaboration with Silverstone Museum. Earlier this year, the Company also supported museum-based STEM workshops that gave students the opportunity to explore Formula 1 careers, experience motorsport technology first-hand and learn directly from industry professionals.

Momentum continues to build as forecasts suggest more than 15,000 students could experience a STEM Pitstop session during 2026.
