A coding initiative aimed at improving the IT skills of girls in Poland will reach even more schools after securing support from Aramco Europe’s citizenship program.
The IT Girls Foundation project supports the teaching of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in Poland through free online programming courses for girls from low-income families who are aged 10 to 19.
This is complemented by the IT for All program, which targets both students and educators, providing training workshops for teachers and offering targeted modules for students aged 4 to 19, from early logical thinking and robotics to advanced coding and digital design.
IT Girls Foundation Co-Founder Adrianna Klimczak, said: “Our mission is to contribute to increasing the participation of women in the IT industry and engaging girls with STEM from an early age is an important part of that process.
“We are delighted to work with Aramco Europe in advancing our shared commitment to inspire young people to pursue technology-focused career paths and become the next generation of innovators.”
STEM education has rapidly become a cornerstone of Aramco Europe’s citizenship program, through activities such as teacher development, student competitions, and workshops that inspire innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving at different stages of learning. This is underpinned by the belief that STEM education is vital for long-term economic resilience and innovation.
The Company prioritizes support for educational projects that expand access to high-quality STEM education, promote diversity and inclusion in technology sectors, enhance digital literacy among educators and support problem-solving at every stage of educational development.
Aramco Europe also supports other STEM initiatives in Poland, including the annual Fahrenheit Science Picnic in Gdańsk, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Beyond technical training, the IT Girls program aims to build confidence, reshape perceptions of gender roles in technology, and inspire long-term engagement in STEM pathways. Participants are encouraged to see themselves not just as users of technology, but as creators and innovators capable of shaping the digital future.
This partnership also reflects Aramco Europe’s broader global mission to empower individuals through education, foster innovation, and contribute to sustainable societal development in the regions where it operates.
