Aramco Europe meets with industry suppliers in Belgium

News|Machelen, Belgium|

Aramco Europe brought together industry stakeholders in Belgium this week for an exclusive supplier engagement event focused on emerging opportunities across Aramco’s global operations.

Hosted in collaboration with Energy TECH BELGIUM and the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX), the meeting in Machelen formed part of Aramco Europe’s ongoing outreach program designed to strengthen relationships with existing suppliers while introducing new companies to opportunities arising from Aramco’s investment activities and Saudi Arabia’s broader economic transformation agenda.

Mansour Alahmari, Acting Vice President Procurement and Supply Chain at Aramco Europe, said: “As Aramco expands into new markets and sectors, new sourcing requirements are constantly emerging, creating opportunities for partners who share our commitment to excellence.”

“We are here because we want to work with Belgian companies that continue the tradition of innovation for which this country is renowned.’’

Highlighting Belgium’s long-standing reputation for industrial excellence, innovation, and technological advancement, he noted the country’s strengths across engineering, logistics, advanced manufacturing, and digital technologies, all of which align closely with areas of growing importance for Aramco and its global business.

Adrien Lacroix, AWEX Economic and Trade Counsellor in Saudi Arabia, said: “Our role, as a trade and investment agency, is precisely to build bridges between these Belgian innovators and major international partners such as Aramco.”

“The event was about much more than presentations. It is about creating long-term partnerships, helping Belgian companies better understand Aramco’s procurement ecosystem, and opening the door to future business opportunities in the Kingdom.”

Pieter-Jan Provoost, Director of Energy TECH BELGIUM, added: “We are pleased to support this initiative with Aramco Europe. Belgium has a wealth of innovative companies whose technologies and services can contribute to major energy projects around the world. Events such as this create the connections and mutual understanding needed to develop successful long-term business partnerships.’’

Delegates received detailed briefings on Aramco’s global investment program and the evolving sourcing and procurement requirements generated by major projects across the company’s upstream, downstream, and infrastructure portfolios. Experts from Aramco Europe provided practical guidance on supplier registration, qualification processes, and quality requirements, helping attendees better understand how to engage with one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies.

The event also highlighted Aramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value Add (iktva) program and its role in supporting investment, technology transfer, and capability development in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives. Representatives from the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Industrial Development Fund shared insights into the Kingdom’s evolving investment landscape and opportunities for international businesses.

The event concluded with networking and business-to-business meetings, allowing Belgian companies to engage directly with Aramco Europe specialists and explore potential areas for collaboration. By convening suppliers in Belgium, Aramco Europe reaffirmed its commitment to building long-term partnerships and fostering closer cooperation with innovative Belgian companies.
